Can you believe the Big Game is happening this weekend?
I have to admit I am not a big football fan but there are many things I love about celebrating Game Day: I get to spend time with my husband doing something he loves, I get to see great commercials and the half-time show is always amazing. Plus I can’t never turn down a good excuse to hang out with friends and have tasty food!
Before we had kids we would use the Super Bowl as an excuse to eat junk food but now that we have kids I don’t want them around that kind of food. I’m so excited to be partnering with Whole Foods Market to show you all the delicious food you can serve to your friends and family during the Big Game. The best part? Most of it is already pre-made so all you have to do is buy and serve – my kind of party!
To make things better, Whole Foods Market is having a special Game Day Goods sale so you can get all these goodies and more at a discounted price. This Big Game menu is mostly based on what they’re having for sale because who doesn’t love to get tasty food and save money?

Big Game menu:
Start the party with organic chips, guacamole and salsa. If you haven’t tried their guacamole, do yourself a favor and buy it next time you’re at Whole Foods Market. We love it and every time I take it to a party everyone asks me if I made the guacamole because it’s so fresh and tasty.
Love cheese? Then set up a cheese platter or get the Feta Salsa and serve it with organic crackers. They have lots of snacking options to go with the cheese.
Usually around half time everyone is really hungry so this is when we serve the rest of the food. Here are some ideas of what you can serve – these are all our favorite ones:
- Chicken Wings: because you can’t never go wrong with these and they come in different flavors.
You can also just get plain ones to pair with your favorite dipping sauces.
- Popcorn Chicken: perfect for the little ones.
- Chili: you can get a bucket of either beef or turkey chili.
- Shrimp: they have an amazing shrimp platter, already cooked and comes with salsa.
- Salad: salad is a must in my home and Whole Foods Market really knows how to make a great salad. You can get a bucket of Smoked Mozzarella Pasta Salad, Tailgate Coleslaw or Red Bliss Potato Salad on sale or just go to their salad bar and make your own.
- Tailgate bread: If I could eat this every day I would! It’s a premade bread stuffed with cheese and spices. All you have to do is put it in the oven. Make sure you get several of these because it’s so good!
If you feel like grilling, Whole Foods Market has you covered. They have the St. Louis Style Ribs are on sale and lots of meat cuts that are already marinated and ready for you to grill.
4th quarter sweets:
Serve brownies and make-your-own ice cream sandwiches.
We are obsessed with this brownie mix I discovered at Whole Foods Market a while back so we make this all the time. Also, get a Family Pack Cookies and vanilla ice cream to make ice cream sandwiches.
Let the kids have fun making their own ice cream sandwiches! The adults are going to love this so make sure you get enough. I’ve found that vanilla ice cream tastes best with the cookies but if you’re having lots of people over get different flavors.
The ice cream sandwiches are really easy to put together:
Everyone loves them!
I used to bake and cook all the food we served at get-togethers but the reality is that with kids it’s really hard and exhausting. I love that I can buy tasty foods at Whole Foods Market because as much as I don’t want to cook I also don’t want to eat food that doesn’t taste good.
So do yourself a favor and don’t worry about cooking and baking for the Big Game. Just to go Whole Foods Market, stick to this menu and enjoy the party and your friends.
